Hello. I have a job interview coming up for a generalist HR adviser position. Although I have a strong background in generalist HR and can give many examples to demonstrate my competency in terms of dealing with ER matters and coaching line managers, I know there will be some behavioral questions to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
I don't know if I am overthinking this but I am really struggling to link my examples of my everyday generalist responsibilities to leadership behaviors, specifically managing change, managing performances and commercialism.
So, for example if in the interview I was talking about devising and delivering a workshop on a new HR Absence Management Policy and procedure because absences levels were really high, mainly due to managers not feeling comfortable managing their teams absences, how can I link this particular example to a leadership capability.
